Dr. Rathi Dasgapta

He has 20 years of experience working in IT industry in the domain of Telecom BSS, Retail, Insurance, Healthcare and e-commerce. He specializes in Outsourcing, Offshoring, In-sourcing in IT & BPO, Startup technology leadership (Retail, SCM, Enterprise architecture, Digital Imaging & Insurance) and strategic leadership in business and organizational development including restructuring. He is working as Independent Strategy Consultant with few firms in the New York areas and also consulting the wall street based investment and analyst firms. He has managed multiple projects of the size of Pound Sterling 5 million to Pound Sterling 20 million. He chaired a number of tracks in various conferences in US and India. He worked extensively for customers in USA, UK, EU, Africa, Middle East, Latin America and APAC regions and he has travelled across the continents to get business and deliver & implement solutions.

He was instrumental in creating the offshore software development center in India. He was part of the start up teams in Target Corporation (Director), Intec Telecom Systems (Managing Director), SUN Microsystem (Engg Head of J2EE), Sharp Corporation and X Tech TCG corporation. He also worked in leadership position of project management, engineering management, account management and business development role in Coopers & Lybrand, Xansa (UK), Cambridge Technology Partners (USA), Wipro (India), First Apex (Canada, Srilanka, Europe and India), and i2 Technologies (India and Korea).

He studied at graduate studies level at RPI, NY and at Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, India and started his career as a research scientist in department of atomic energy. He is also a member and chartered Physicist of The Institute of Physics, London. He is a Council Member and Leader (top 5%) advisor at Gerson Lehrman Group, NY, USA. He has received National Merit Scholarship in 1979, 1981, 1984 and Department of Atomic Energy Fellowship in 1989, 1990, 1991. He was made a Graduate Member (in 1995) and Chartered Physicist (in 1996) of Institute of Physics, London.

Dr R Gopinath, Ph.D. (IIT, Chennai)

Dr.R. Gopinath is a senior professional having a total work experience of more than 16 years. His area of expertise is primarily in the area of Software Quality Management and Consulting, backed up by strong technical research background and additional hands-on work in diverse areas like Software development, Project Management, Customer Support, R&D and Technical Sales. However Training is his passion.

Having served as Head of Quality and Metrics function in several organizations, he has extensive experience in setting up quality Management function from scratch, institutionalizing a metrics based management culture, process consulting, delivering process trainings and workshops and Conducting Internal Quality Audits. In his successfully led several software process improvement initiatives culminating in attainment of high maturity levels (Level 4 & 5) in SW-CMM/CMMI and ISO 9001 Certifications. He is also a SCAMPI-B assesor for CMMI. He has published papers in International Journals and presented papers in conferences.

He worked with multi-national companies like Freescale Semicondutor, HP GlobalSoft (formerly Digital GlobalSoft), Intergraph Consulting and TVS Motor Company. Dr. Gopinath is a Ph.D and M.Tech (Mech.) from IIT Madras and B.E.(Mech.) from, NITK Surathkal.
